Traphaco conducts the acceptance of the project of "Perfecting the manufacturing procedures of supplements for diabetes treatment from medicinal herbs: bằng lăng nước, giảo cổ lam and tri mẫu"

            On December 20, 2017, after three long years of implementation, the project "Perfecting the manufacturing procedures of supplements for diabetes treatment from medicinal herbs: bằng lăng nước , giảo cổ lam and tri mẫu ", lead by MSc Tran Quang Luc has been successfully presented to the State Council of Acceptance with score at 86/100.

            The project "Perfecting the manufacturing procedures of supplements for diabetes treatment from medicinal herbs: bằng lăng nước, giảo cổ lam and tri mẫu", monitored by Ministry of Industry and Trade, is a part of the National Scientific Research Program on the development of the pharmaceutical chemistry up to 2020. Traphaco presides over the implementation with the coordinating units including Traphacosapa, Traphaco CNC and experts from Hanoi Medical University, Hanoi University of Pharmacy, Institute of Chemistry - Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. The total cost of implementing is over VND 6.6 billion, of which VND 1.9 billion from budget for the science development, VND 4.7 billion from Traphaco’s investment.

            Project management unit, including leaders of Traphaco (Mr. Tran Tuc Ma - CEO, Mr. Nguyen Huy Van - Deputy CEO), participated from June 2014 to Jun 2017. The project has been completed a huge workload (41 studies) in various fields from botany, chemistry, medicine to biomedicine, successfully generated 20 products (1 product in Form I, 14 products in Form II, 5 products in Form III, 2 products in Form IV – exceed 1 product as registered).

            The project has been highly evaluated by the State Council of Acceptance for many new findings in the study of herbal medicine and for Andiabet - a supplement in the treatment of diabetes. Its natural origin has been studied in detail and preserved throughout manufacturing process, meeting the strict standards of quality control and assessment in treatment effectiveness and safety for users. The result of the project brings about a safe and effective product for diabetes treatment; its implications open up many issues to be addressed in the fields of medicine and pharmacy.
