Grassroots-level acceptance of the "Completing the production process of the medicine for treatment of diabetes, using Lagerstroemia speciosa, Jiaogulan and Anemarrhenae Aspheloides" project hosted by Traphaco

After nearly 3 years of implementing the project "Completing the production process of the medicine for treatment of diabetes, using the medicinal herbs of Lagerstroemia speciosa, Jiaogulan and Anemarrhenae Aspheloides", on June 26^th, 2017 M.A Tran Quang Luc - Project Director - reported the results of the project and successfully defended the project before the Council for Grassroots-level Acceptance of Projects. After this round, the project has been transferred to the Council for National Acceptance of Projects of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The project "Completing the production process of the medicine for treatment of diabetes, using the medicinal herbs of Lagerstroemia speciosa, Jiaogulan and Anemarrhenae Aspheloides" is conducted by Traphaco JSC in cooperation with TraphacoSapa one member limited liability company, Traphaco High-tech JSC and leading experts of the Hanoi Medical University, the Hanoi University of Pharmacy, under the management of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, as part of the National Program of Scientific and Technological Research in the Pharmaceutical Industry.

The total cost of this project is VND6.6 billion, of which VND1.9 billion came from the national budget for sci-tech development and VND4.7 billion from Traphaco.

The members of the project implementation board included leaders of Traphaco Joint Stock Company (General Director Tran Tuc Ma and Deputy General Director Nguyen Huy Van). The project was kicked off in June 2014 with a huge workload (41 scientific subjects) in many fields: botany, pharmaceutics, biomedicine ...,bringing about 20 scientific products, including one first-type product, 14 second-type products, 5 third-type products, 2 fourth-type products.

The project was well evaluated by the Council for Grassroots-level Acceptance of Projects and is ready for national acceptance. The project has obtained new results in the study of Lagerstroemia speciosa in particular and Andiabet - a product supporting the treatment of diabetes of natural origin, which has been methodologically studied from raw materials, to production process and upgraded grassroots standards for strict quality control, evaluation of treatment effect and safety of the product. The project has enabled the introduction of a safe and effective product for the treatment of diabetes to the market.
